Travel affords a unique opportunity for photographers. You may take pictures simply to document your trip, but you may also want to create pieces of art with those photos. This workshop gives you the practical knowledge to take an award-winning travel photograph. Using examples from the instructor, you will learn what makes for a compelling photo. We'll analyze composition, framing, camera settings, and light. We'll discuss what would make an image better and when it is good enough. Learn how to plan your shoot, taking into consideration whether the subject moves or is static and how much time you'll have to set up your shot.
We'll talk a bit about equipment and how to prepare for the variety of weather and conditions. Explore how to edit your photos to enhance their artistic value (there are many free options).

Since becoming a professional photographer about 7 years ago, Steve Sorenson has won numerous national and international awards for his work and has successfully sold his art. An avid traveler, he has visited all the continents at least twice. A retired executive from the telecommunications industry, Steve has also been a leadership development coach and has taught leadership at the graduate level. He will give you the knowledge and confidence to transform your photos into genuine art.
