You don’t want to run out of money when you retire! In this course, we discuss how to develop a retirement income plan that will address both your current and future expenses so that you can be confident that your income sources and assets are enough to cover your future expenses as you age. We’ll explore the most tax efficient ways to withdraw funds from your various accounts as you begin to take distributions. A large component of a retirement income plan may involve Roth IRAs. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is set to expire at the end of 2025 and Federal income tax rates will go up in 2026. Now, while tax rates are lower, you may benefit from investing in a Roth IRA to reduce your lifetime taxes and maximize your lifetime wealth. Roth IRA’s provide tax-deferred and tax-free growth on your investments, but it’s important to understand the rules and strategies. Leave this class understanding: 1) the types of Roth accounts and the contribution rules, 2) Roth IRA conversions and backdoor contribution strategies, 3) the advantages of Roth IRAs, and 4) when you might possibly avoid using a Roth IRA. Tyler Smith is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Colorado as well as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He is currently a Financial Advisor with Forum Financial Management, LP.
