Have you ever walked into a room and said to yourself, "This room just feels RIGHT?" Truth is, it takes a lot of planning and preparation to make everything work beautifully in any design plans. In this class we will take a little journey through the principles of interior design that can help you transform the spaces in your home from so-so to awesome. We will discuss 7 key interior design principles and elements and how you can apply them to the spaces in your home that need a lift. Learn what balance, proportion, scale, emphasis, harmony, rhythm, and color design elements mean, and how you can apply them to your home design. Prior to class participants are invited to send to the instructor one to three colored photos of spaces around your home that you want to improve upon. After the discussion of the six design principles plus color, you'll be able to take time to consider how you could improve your spaces using these principles. Students who share their ideas in class will have the chance to get feedback from the instructor. Sandy Schuster went to design school right out of high school and has been designing her own home spaces as well as spaces for her family and friend for years. She formally opened her design business a year ago where she takes a collaborative approach with clients, bringing them organized and beautiful spaces that bring comfort and joy, and complement their lifestyle. Her mission is to ensure that everyone has a place to rejuvenate so they can exhale and then be their best selves in the world.
