Join us for a heart-centered mixed media workshop on sharing hope, beauty and connection through art.

Small creative acts can become acts of kindness. Using simple mixed media techniques and a tapping into the spirit of generosity, come together with other caring creatives to craft tiny pieces of art meant to be released into the world - left on a trail, mailed to someone who needs encouragement, or tucked into a place where a stranger might discover a spark of hope. This is artmaking as offering, as blessing, as quiet connection.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, we will explore approachable mixed media methods such as mini collage layers, painted patterns and simple imagery, found words and tiny messages, symbolic marks, and intuitive color choices. The techniques are designed to be playful and accessible to all levels.
You will make 3-6 tiny art pieces that you will be able to replicate at home:
  • Kindness rocks painted with uplifting words or symbols
  • Mixed media postcards to mail to someone in need or leave for someone to find
  • Gratitude or hope tags to give to friends or display in a public spacce

Leave with a handful of tiny art pieces ready to release into the world. Renew your sense of connection and generosity as you cultivate this gentle practice you can return to whenever you want to offer kindness. Lisa MacKenzie loves exploring all kinds of ways to make art. She provides students with a fun and open space to learn new skills and experiment with a variety of art supplies.
