This workshop is a welcoming, low-pressure creative playground for anyone curious about writing for the stage. Whether you've never written a single scene or you've got notebooks full of ideas, you'll learn the building blocks of playwriting through hands-on exercises, collaboration, laughter, and experimentation. Together, we'll explore character, dialogue, conflict, and storytelling as you discover the stories only you can tell.

Led by award-winning playwright, director, actor, and teacher Nicolette Vajtay, this class blends professional experience with a genuine love of the creative process. Trained at American Repertory Theatre's Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard, Nicolette spent decades performing in New York, Los Angeles, and theatres across the country before turning her focus to directing and writing. She has since written more than two dozen plays, including award-winning and published works produced and developed nationwide.

Most importantly, she believes creativity should be joyful, accessible, and a little bit brave.
