A Theatre Director must know the design aspects of the performance and communicate their vision to designers, actors, and crew. In this 8-week course, we will explore the basics of directing for stage (not film, which uses a different skill set). Great for beginners or for experienced directors who want to brush up on their craft. Course topics include: script analysis and concepts, working with actors, auditions and casting, blocking and stage pictures, working with designers and crew, and more. As the course proceeds, participants will work with actors to put their skills into practice. The course culminates in a showcase presentation for friends and family. Selena A. Naumoff received her BA in theatre arts for the University of Arizona in 2002. She has been involved in almost every aspect of theatre and is known in Denver for her work as an actor and director. She directed most recently for Wheat Ridge Theatre Company.
