AI is reshaping how we work, write, research, and create - but most people do not know how to interact with it effectively and responsibly. This four-session workshop cuts through the hype to give you real, hands-on skills: understanding what AI is and isn't, spotting its limits and risks, writing prompts that actually work, and building a personalized AI workflow you'll use from day one. Each session is workshop-style - you're doing, not just listening. In the final session, students will build a workflow, prompt sequence, or AI-assisted process for a task in their own life (writing, research, scheduling, creative projects, etc.). Whether you want to boost your productivity, tackle creative projects, or simply stop feeling left behind, you'll leave with practical tools and the confidence to use them responsibly. This course can be taken on its own, but it is also a great complement to course #3415, "Introduction to AI: Understanding and Using Artificial Intelligence."

Instructor Clea Strydom is an international public lawyer and AI governance expert who works extensively on responsible AI and governance. No technical background required - just bring a laptop and curiosity.
