Each class will cover different topics, providing a comprehensive learning experience for participants who choose to attend any or all of the classes offered. Each class will be structured with a combination of demonstrations, hands-on practice, individual feedback, and group discussions. Rick Long started drawing at an early age. Naturally gifted as an artist, in recent years he has developed his skills as a watercolorist and is sought after for commissioned portraits, landscapes, and animal paintings. He has master's degrees in acting and education and is a skilled communicator. He encourages creativity, self-expression, and personal growth in a supportive and inclusive environment.

In Watercolor Architecture, participants will learn fundamental techniques and principles of watercolor painting while creating beautiful renditions of favorite city scenes. They will gain a solid foundation in watercolor painting and be able to apply their new skills to create their own. Bring a photo of a favorite building or cityscape and start with learning (or reviewing) the grid method of laying out your image. Then, learn how to bring your scene to life as you work with proportion, color, and shading.
